“How dare you say that? We would be sending them back to a life of misery, hardship and death!”

Xavier Becerra gave Gavin Newsom an "A for effort" on homelessness, Katie Porter — a "notoriously tough grader" — gave him a B, and both called English proficiency tests for truck drivers "racist." Meanwhile, Republican Steve Hilton delivered the best answer of the night on his Trump endorsement and why California desperately needs a governor who'll work WITH the president instead of suing him.
