I just want want to make a few comments on immigration and why I and many others have no problem with DACA and long term illegals who work and do not collect welfare to stay. Having just heard Vince Colonase screaming that he wants them all out totally turns me off, and I will no longer follow him. I work with the public, average James and Joes like me. I bore people with politics all of the time, sometimes to the detriment of my business. I am conservative, as are the majority of my clients, and almost everyone is ok with DACA staying as they broke no laws crossing the border as they were children. They also have no problem with the people who have been here long term, work hard, go to church, have family values and expect their children to work hard and contribute. Can you say the same for the large number of the participation trophy generation? I will never vote for a Democrat, and I never miss a major election, but there are others who may be pulled to the other side, or just stay home. By being so rigid, you give fuel to the Dems, which in the end could bring them victory. Certain jobs have always been taken by poor immigrants. Initially here legally, until they were excluded in the 1920’s. We do not need open borders, but we need to comsider allowing more of the poor working class a way to be here legally as long as they do not take welfare. How many Americans want to work in a slaughter house, dig ditches, put on roofs, pick vegetables, etc? The DACA people and long term residents ARE in our communities. They worship at our churches and work and contribute. When ICE comes for them, many will either vote for the Dems or stay home. Many people have no idea what the Dems are involved in, and what they want to turn this country into, but they will be seeing people they worship with, people who do the thankless jobs thrown out of this country, and they will be angry.
