Every society operates under authority. The only real question is whether that authority is lawful or illegitimate. When elected officials, media figures, and even attorneys argue that citizens should physically interfere with federal law enforcement if they “see something wrong,” they are not engaging in protest — they are endorsing rebellion against the authority of the United States.
